Task Three

"The Watertower" Written by Gary Crew, Illustrated by Steven Woolman.

A) Look closely at the picture book "The Watertower" using only the images to gain information (i.e. do not read the words just yet)

After looking at the illustrations in "The Watertower", compose a narrative to accompany the illustrations.

B) Now read "The Watertower" a second time , reading the words in conjunction with the illustrations. Answer the following questions:

• List the differences that exist between your narrative and the narrative of the actual book.
• Explain why you think these differences exisit. (1/2 A4 page)

C) Complete an interactive plot diagram for the picture book, and add it to your portfolio.
